Secretary of State Marco Rubio is reportedly moving to permanently end U.S. aid to Somalia after Somali authorities demolished a warehouse holding 76 TONS of American food assistance, according to the Daily Wire — and frankly, it’s about time. Foreign aid isn’t charity — it’s U.S. taxpayer money, and it should always serve American national interests, not be handed out like a blank check to governments that show blatant disrespect for our generosity and squander food meant for starving people. We can care about human rights and humanitarian crises without fueling endless waste and handouts that don’t help Americans or advance our security. America comes first. No more endless aid. No more waste. No more disrespect.
