Reflecting on her five-year marriage, a woman turned to Reddit to share her experiences and the circumstances that made her contemplate whether to remain in the marriage or embrace life as a single mother to her son.

Since the birth of their beloved baby boy, her mother-in-law has repeatedly commented on the child’s looks, insisting that he doesn’t take after her son.

Even though the woman tried to remain calm, her husband’s lack of support in defending her and their son from his mother’s intrusive remarks left her feeling heartbroken.

“For some time now, [my mother-in-law] has been saying that my son doesn’t resemble my husband as a toddler. Essentially implying that I’ve been unfaithful. This, understandably, upset me,” the woman expressed on the platform.

Despite being in emotional chaos and vehemently rejecting the allegations, the woman’s husband chose to remain uninvolved, failing to support her. His inaction created a divide between them, prompting her to pull away emotionally as she felt disrespected.
